Timothy Weah — son of 1995 Ballon d’Or-winner George Weah — signs first professional contract with Paris Saint-Germain

The 17-year-old has been starring for the Ligue 1 giants’ youth side, netting a hat-trick in an 8-1 victory over Ludogorets on in the Uefa Youth League debut.
But has now put pen-to-paper for a full-time deal which will run until 2020.

He told PSG’s official website: “I am very proud to continue my adventure with PSG by signing this professional contract.


“I am at a great club and I cannot wait to continue to progress towards my goal of one day playing for the senior side.”

Timothy’s father George is one of the best players in the 1990s, having won the Ballon d’Or in 1995.

He is the only African winner.

However, despite representing Liberia, Weah’s son was born in New York and is a USA youth international, having played at the CONCACAF Under-17 Championship in Panama.
